MEET THE FOUNDER

Kory Anderson is an award-winning entrepreneur specializing in engineering, manufacturing, casting, and welding. He rose to fame after building the largest steam engine in the world - the 150HP Case - using his engineering and casting expertise. This multi-year venture earned him over 50 Million+ views on YouTube and Facebook as well as numerous publications in news outlets across the world.

He is the current CEO and founder of Anderson Industries, an engineering and manufacturing company based out of Webster, SD. In 2014 he acquired Dakota Foundry, one of the few foundries left in America specializing in grey and ductile iron castings up to 5000 pounds. During the Covid-19 pandemic, he pivoted his team to produce fitness equipment given the national kettlebell shortage. This line of products ultimately formed his latest company "Iron Warrior", and includes his now patent-pending "Warbell", a versatile piece that combines dumbbell, barbell and kettlebell functionality, as well as a non-profit Iron Warrior Academy, which trains the next generation on skilled trades.

Kory has received numerous awards and recognition including being named the "2014 Entrepreneur of the Year" in Fargo, ND, and earning public recognition for his commitment to "made in USA" products by South Dakota Governor, Kristi Noem. He's led the Dakota Foundry team to earning a spot in the "CO-100 Top 100 America's Small Businesses" by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and also took home the title of "Casting of the Year" by the American Foundry Society.

Kory splits his time between Andover, SD and Lakeside, Montana. He enjoys working out, skiing, hunting, and creating memories with his wife and two daughters. To learn more about Kory, visit www.KoryAnderson.com.

Dakota Foundry Team

EXPERIENCED TEAM

Dakota Foundry’s strength is drawn from our experienced team, who dedicate themselves to maximize our foundry’s output to deliver results for you.

You know what your project needs, we know how to get it done - start to finish.

OUR ADVANTAGES

1. Fastest Turn-Around

We have built our reputation as being not only a producer of top quality castings but also delivering the fastest turn around in the country. And we don't just say it - we prove it.

Our Process

  1. Understanding your exact casting needs
  2. Following through with expert pattern making
  3. Creating the actual casting

By having control of the complete process we can speed our lead times versus other foundries.

Our value added services are organized so that you place one order for one finished product. We take care of the rest.

2. Consistency

Maybe you've experienced a "mail order foundry" where your first order is great, the second order is so-so, and after the third order, you are unable communicate your frustrations about the quality or your needs to an employee at the "mail order foundry". Dakota Foundry is a domestic based foundry using domestic inputs, so we are able to maintain the utmost consistency of product per your specified requests. From our in-house lab to constant quality checks throughout the casting process, you can have confidence in receiving consistent quality product time after time. Our team takes pride in the job we do for you.

3. Communication

The key to a successful project is communication. From the time we begin discussing your concept all the way through the process of building a pattern, casting and finally pouring the finished product, we work closely with you to ensure every detail meets your approval.
